Call for Art

Women Visual Artists interested in exposure, visibility, community, collaboration, empowerment and inspiration.

The Siren Nation beckons women visual artists to send us digital portfolios for the 2008 Siren Nation Festival!

Siren Nation is a unique non-profit arts organization that showcases and creates performance and exhibition opportunities for women in the Northwest year round. We also produces an annual music, film, visual arts and community festival each November.

Siren Nation is now accepting submissions/proposals for each of the following themed shows scheduled to hang during the 2008 Siren Nation Festival.

Organic Industry: the juxtaposition of man-made/ grown, constructed/formed, solid/ ethereal. To be held at the Olympic Mills building in SE.

Bicycles: everyone loves some bicycle art! To be held at Kelly's Olympian.

Personal Herstory: A self-examination of women. This show journeys along with the struggle, insights, epiphanies, and inner turmoil of today's modern woman. Where they have been, who they are, and most importantly where they are going. To be held at the Q Center.

Call for Film Submissions

Siren Nation is now accepting film submissions for our 2nd annual Women’s Arts and Music Fest to be held November 3-9th, 2008. The submission guidelines are as follows:

• Women-directed films of any length or genre submitted on DVD.
• DVDs should be labeled with contact information.
• Submitted projects must be completed.
• There is a $5.00 entry fee per submission.
• If there is more than one film on the DVD, please specify which film you would like to submit.
